New smolt facility in Lofoten.
Artec Aqua is the design and build contractor for this smolt facility in Lofoten, Norway. The facility is constructed next to the customer’s existing installation, which will continue to operate at full capacity until the new section is brought online. The project plan for the installation makes it simple to expand the scope of the operation, such that annual production can be increased from 4 to 6 million smolt. The new project provides Ellingsen Seafood with a significant upgrade to both capacity and quality, making the company self-sufficient in smolt for its sea farms.
